1st Gen Tundra High Clearance Rear Bumper — DIY Weld Kit (2000–2006)
FOUNDERS BATCH — 10 KITS AT $750. First production run. After these 10, the price is $850.
The rear bumper the 1st Gen Tundra has been waiting on. Designed in Utah, laser-cut in Utah, and the prototype is bolted to my own Tundra right now.
This is a DIY weld kit: 17 laser-cut parts — 3/16" plate throughout, 1/4" mounting points. Every piece arrives cut and ready. You weld it, grind it, coat it, and end up with a bumper you built yourself for half of what a welded one costs shipped.
The kit is designed to minimize weld time — fewer, longer seams instead of a pile of short ones, and full multi-piece side and end caps that wrap the corners properly instead of leaving flat ends.
What's in the box
- All 17 parts, laser-cut 3/16" steel, raw and ready to weld
- 1/4" plate mounting points
- Step-by-step build instructions
- Ships in two boxes — right around 100 lbs of steel total
Founders Batch
This is the first production run. The production version adds reinforced bracing and fitment refinements learned from building and running the prototype on my own truck. Founders price is for these 10 kits only — after that it's $850.
Timeline, straight
This is sell-then-build. When the batch closes, the steel gets cut, and kits ship 2–3 weeks after batch close. You get an email the day the batch closes and the day yours ships. No fake "in stock" games — you'll know exactly where your kit is.
Shipping
$100 flat anywhere in the lower 48, shipped in two boxes. Local pickup in the St. George area is free — choose Local Pickup at checkout and I'll have it ready.
